So many considerations for pest defense! I chose the trap and release method. Bait the trap and place it under the kitchen sink where the “nightly trail” appears. Next morning, the top was eaten off of the trap and the bait devoured! Try, try again. Next trap is a see-saw type where the bait goes into the back end of the trap, and the trap opens when tipped back. Upon mouse entry, the door should fall shut thus trapping the pest. I tried this two nights, traps were tripped, but no mouse inside. www.victorpest.com/live_mouse_traps.htm
Now the smell begins to appear. If you’ve ever owned a pet gerbil, guinea pig, or hampster, you know the nesting smell I’m talking about. Ugh! It stinks! Time to get serious.
$24 for the pest silent sound device that plugs in to create an irritation to the mice so they leave the area. And most troubling, the glue stick traps that capture the mouse, but no release this time. Come on, I was desperate.
His little frantic face was so sad as he stood trapped in the glue pad. I poured oil onto the pad and set it outside so the mouse had a chance to escape into nature. He was dead near the pad in a few hours.
Now the cat sits by the kitchen sink. Where was he when I needed him?
